Reformer Pilates Classes for all ages & fitness levels
Kilkenny Pilates welcomes everyone aged 16 upwards, from absolute beginners to advanced movers.
Getting Started
Explore is for beginners and those returning to Pilates after a break of six months or more. You can choose to start with a drop-in class or a 6-weeks Beginners Course to learn the fundamentals.
Ready to Progress?
Once you have mastered the basics, Evolve will give you a more challenging workout. You may choose to stay at the Evolve level (we offer progressions to push you that bit harder!) or you may advance to Elevate, a class designed to help you find your edge with challenging exercises that require a good degree of coordination and proprioception.
Specialised Classes
We're passionate about supporting you to stay fit and active in your senior years. Our Chair-based Pilates for Over 55s focuses on improving mobility and flexibility from a seated position. Of course you are most welcome to join a reformer class (starting with an Explore class) but for anyone who may struggle to get down on a reformer or who has vertigo, our seated classes are ideal.
Please note that at this time we do not offer antenatal Pilates classes. Please do not book into a general class if you are pregnant. If you have some unused class credits on your account and you become pregnant, we will be happy to transfer these to a friend or family member to use before their expiration date.
Once your baby is born and your doctor has given you the all-clear to return to Pilates, we look forward to seeing you back on the reformer. Please start back with some Explore classes to brush up on the fundamentals and start rebuilding strong core muscles at a slow deliberate pace before moving on to Evolve.
Take it at your own pace moving through the levels. Remember you've nothing to prove to anyone. It's just you and your body, getting to know each other better and learning how to move more efficiently.
